Amy lives in Charleston, SC with her youngest son while missing her two older sons who’ve gone off to college. She works in communications for the College of Charleston and writes in her free time. She’s the author of the book, The Smart Woman’s Guide to Diabetes, Everything from Eating to Dating and Motherhood and has been writing and researching life with diabetes for a long time because writing about diabetes and connecting with other people about diabetes helps her feel less alone!

Current Book: I just finished The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O’Ferrell and am so sad it’s over!

Liz is a Board- Certified Endocrinologist who practices in Portland, OR, and has lived with type 1 for a whopping 30 years! Her clinical work focuses on the care of those with type 1 and 2 diabetes, with a special interest in helping people cope with the challenges of living with diabetes day to day.

Liz is married to Peter and has 2 boys aged 14 and 17 who are both in high school. She enjoys biking to work, playing music and tending to her 2 cats who both have thyroid disease.

Current book: just finished the Voyage of the Morning Light, which was long, but really good historical fiction.
